Qualifications:            Requires a high school diploma supplemented by required training and one to two years of experience as a security guard or in law enforcement, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and experience. A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.  Candidates will be required to demonstrate intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.  Must possess a valid state driver’s license. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to interact and communicate with various groups and individuals such as the immediate supervisor, co-workers, University department heads and employees, faculty, staff, students, parents, complainants, suspects, victims, witnesses, medical / hospital personnel, emergency response agencies, sales representatives, other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, and the general public.  Ability to operate a motor vehicle, motorized transportation device, restraining devices, two-way radio and other police-issued equipment as well as a variety of office equipment is required.  The equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered.
